Signing Up For a Landlord Account

This tutorial introduces the Landlord portal and how to get started with the product.

Step 1 - Register as a landlord

Go to www.smarthousing.com and put in the information to register. Accept terms and conditions. Click on the 'Sign-Up!' button.

Step 2 - Select the 'I manage Properties' option

Step 3 - Overview of the Dashboard page

The Dashboard is the initial page you will see when you login to Smart Housing. It gives you all the most recent information in one spot.

a. Payments

Here you will see the ten most recent invoices and payments

b. People Search

One spot where you can type in a resident's name to look them up.

c. Maintenance Requests

See what maintenance requests your residents have recently submitted.

d. Recently Linked Residents

In order to receive rent payments your residents need to be linked to you. This area shows the most recent ones.

e. Applicants and Screening

Here you can send and application, see a list of applicants who have started filling out the form, and click to view the form yourself.

f. the Sidebar

The tabs on the sidebar will allow you to click on specific items to see more detailed information.
