This tutorial helps you know what to do when you have a resident who moves out.

Step 1 - Go to your resident's profile page.

Step 2 - Put an end date on the recurring charge. To do this, go down to the Recurring Transactions box and click on the name of their charge - this will be the line that has the dates listed.

Step 3 - A smaller box will pull up. Put in the date when charges should end in the Cancel Postings... field. Click on the green (or blue) 'Save Changes' button.

It is important to put an end date on the recurring charge because this is what stops their invoices from generating and it also stops sending your resident reminder emails about rent. Check to make sure that you see the end date listed under the End Date column.

Step 4 - Put in the move-out date. To do this, go down to the Occupancy box. Click on the property name listed here.

Step 5 - A smaller box will pull up. Type in their move-out date. Click on on the green (or blue) 'Save Changes' button.

Step 6 - Move your resident to Former Resident status. To do this, go to the top of the profile page where their name is listed.

Step 7 - On the right-hand side you will see a row of boxes that say Lead, Applicant, Resident, and Former Resident. Currently, the Resident box will be green (or blue). Click on the Former Resident box.

Step 8 - A smaller box will pull up. Click on the green (or blue) 'Yes' button.
