In renting an apartment or any rental unit, tenant/s need to consider first the budget, if they can pay for it monthly or not. Second is the location. Is it near your workplace or do you need to commute from your rental place going to your work? Or is it accessible to all establishments and transportation? All these things have to be considered before renting a place. Lets say those factors have passed your criteria, but what about your landlord-to-be? Now we are going to analyze the types of landlords that a tenant could possibly have, whether he or she is a yay or nay.

1. The Camp Counselor

This is the type of landlord that is more likely to create a relaxed ambience in an apartment setting. The type of who can give a solution by intervening in a dispute between tenants. Who wants to keep things in order.

2. The Drop-In

The landlord/s who occasionally invites you over a cup of tea in her place, or someone who shares her stuff or food. Although having a nice landlord is good, having an overly friendly relationship with your landlord, may mean that she/he can drop in at anytime. If the visits happen too often and unannounced, you can let her know your concern about that, and make some schedule as to when she can drop-in in your place.

3. The Ace

This is the type who is in balance of being a friendly landlord and providing a habitable place to live in for his/her tenants. The ones who responded on maintenance requests on time, and making sure that the problem will be fixed as soon as possible. If this is the type of your landlord, then your lucky enough, for you have found an ideal one.

4. The Inquisitive

How about the type of landlord who's always curious of the things that you do or where your about to go? This type of landlord/s are the ones who always ask you things that you were doing, watching your every move, as if a human CCTV, seems that you owe him/her an explanation even on a smallest thing that you do.

5. The Non-Existent

Well for sure this type of landlord will definitely the tenant/s will want, after turning over you the unit, he/she is no longer in sight, not interfering with his tenant/s but only show up or will remind you when it's time to pay the rent.
