Own some property? Check. Live in a crowded city? Check. Have some extra space? Check. Want to make some extra money? Check. Check. Check. You may want to consider more parking spaces then. Extra parking spaces can be used for your residents or for business workers who no longer want to deal with the hassle of finding a place to park every day. Depending on your set-up, this option could be simple or more involved. Best case scenario, all you need to do is paint some extra lines, but don’t let uneven ground or small-scale demolition scare you away from considering more parking spaces. List what would need to be done and look at how cost-effective this option can be. Make sure to do some research. You will want to know what the need for parking spaces for your property or your city is. Also check prices so you will know what you can reasonably charge.
If letting parking spaces to a non-resident, don’t let legalities slide just because it’s not an actual apartment. We still recommend getting a background check since they will be frequenting your property. Also make a leasing agreement so both sides know the terms and conditions.
